How to Help
There are many ways to support the work of the Foundation. You can make a direct donation (see options below), you can volunteer, or you can attend one of our events. Each of these is invaluable. We’re also open to other suggestions. If you’ve got a bright idea, give us a call, so we can work out how to make it happen.
Ways to Donate
ONE TIME AND MONTHLY DONATIONS
A one-time donation is easy. Click the button, enter your info, hit send and it’s done. Or you can mail or drop off a cheque. You can also magnify your efforts with a regular (monthly) contribution – a set it and forget it option. Either way, hit the donate button below, enter the amount you want to send, and check the applicable box if you want to make the donation monthly. For ongoing contributions, your credit card will be billed on the same day each month for the amount you have designated. Don’t worry -- you can change it whenever you want. You also have the choice to make your donation(s) anonymous. Also note, donations are tax deductible.

GRATEFUL PATIENT
If you’ve been the direct recipient of care, you know how important our services are to patients and their families. Show your gratitude with a donation. You can make the donation general to support whichever programs are current or you can designate a specific area of the hospital where you want the funds to go. You can also make your donation in recognition of a healthcare worker who made a difference for you.
MEMORIAL DONATIONS
Remember a loved one with a donation in their name. Or ask your friends and relatives to honour their memory with a donation in place of flowers or other expressions of sympathy. The physical gifts are temporary – but the programs and services provided in Lac La Biche region will go on to help many others.
LEGACY DONATIONS
Perhaps you wish to leave a lasting impact on our community. One way is to designate all or a portion of your estate as a legacy donation. This could include stocks, RRSPs. the proceeds of a life insurance policy, real estate or other resources. When considering this option, you may want to consult a financial advisor. Then make your wishes known in your will. If you have other heirs, it may help to let them know ahead of time so there are no surprises later.
ENDOWMENT FUND
With this option, your financial contribution is invested and the ongoing annual income supports our programs. It’s a great way to help the Foundation over the longterm.
HOST YOUR OWN FUNDRAISER
Maybe you’d like to hold a special day for employees or customers at your office or place of business – or create a community event. Make it interesting. Make it fun. Make it rewarding. Then donate the proceeds. Those who attend will appreciate knowing that their participation supports something even bigger within the community. It creates goodwill for you – and a stronger healthcare system in Lac La Biche region.
NAMING OPPORTUNITIES
If you or someone you love has faced a specific healthcare crisis, you are aware of how challenging it can be, as an example, to travel elsewhere for care. That’s when you really understand how important a specific program or piece of equipment could be to our region. Maybe you’d like to help bring that service here – and have your name, or the name or your business or organization, added. Others faced with similar healthcare needs in the future will be forever grateful that they are able to receive care as a direct result of this donation.
GIFTS IN KIND
If you have other materials or services that are needed, please consider a gift in kind. The donation of a product or service is just as valuable as money. It also lets us use our financial resources in other places where it is not as easy to get the actual item(s) donated.

Of course, financial gifts or gifts in kind are not the only ways to support the work of the Foundation. You can also sign up to volunteer! It takes a lot of work by many different people to make the Foundation’s programs and events come together. Use the form below or contact our office. We have a lot going on and your help is always appreciated. Please be sure to let us know where you’d like to volunteer, or how you like to help out.

Donations are important. Volunteers are important. But so are the people who come out to support our programs. An event without participants is no event at all.
When available, we sell our tickets (or other products) online (through the website and Facebook). To stay up-to-date, sign up for our Facebook page and read the Lac La Biche Post. Watch for other notifications online or in the community. Encourage others to be involved. Even your attention is an important way to support the Lac la Biche Regional Health Foundation.
