ALBERTA RURAL HEALTH WEEK
May 26, 2020
During Alberta Rural Health Week, the Board of Trustees of the Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation and the Regional Attraction and Retention Society take this opportunity to salute and thank the contributions of all healthcare providers and community volunteers who go above and beyond to help keep health care close to home. Rural health providers are powerful assets in our communities.
Not only do their healthcare skills and practices enhance the quality of our daily rural life, but these professionals also contribute to rural life on a more personal level. They have special relationships with their patients and community; they not only provide care, but are also family, friends, neighbors, and volunteers, and often teach and mentor future healthcare providers within our community.
Alberta Rural Health Week, May 25-29 we encourage residents to show appreciation for the contributions of our rural health providers and volunteers whose abilities enhance the quality of our lives. Share your messages and support using #ruralhealthmatters #LLBCTogether or simply place a blue heart in your window to say thanks!

OILERS ALUMNI RECRUIT SEVERAL LOCAL PLAYERS IN BID TO WIN
Friday, September 30, 2016
Scandal and intrigue have erupted as the Oilers Alumni recruited a number of local
players in an effort to win Saturday's showdown (and got them to pay for this opportunity).
We're not sure what bamboozling, trickery or flattery the NHL used, but it's going to be a
very tight competition with these champions bolstering the Oilers' chances:
Darren Reid-Buffalo Lake Development Corporation
Blake Chwedoruk-Chedkor
Bradley Hutchinson-Edcon Power Tongs
Keaton Willey-Kingdom Cats
Moe Abougoushe-IGA
Chaffic Moghrabi-LLB Sporting Goods
Leo Piquette-various sponsors (will play goal)
Tickets are available at the door or from one of these local partners:
IDA Drugs, ACE Hardware, LLB Post, LLB Sporting Goods or WJ Cadzow Hospital.
Cheer for the Oilers, cheer for the Leghorns -- either way, make a difference for our
community. All proceeds go to the Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation.

OILERS ALUMNI BRACE FOR TOUGHEST CHALLENGE YET
September 28, 2016
In an effort to increase their odds of winning the hockey game against the local
Leghorn Foghorns, the Oilers Alumni have announced their lineup for the October 1st
showdown in Lac La Biche. This list includes:
# 1 Joaquin Gage
# 5 Doug Hicks
# 20 Dave Lumley
# 21 Bruce Hardy
# 25 Craig Topolinisky
# 27 Dave Semenko
# 28 Matt Kassian
# 43 Jason Strudwick
# 44 Rob Brown
# 45 Mark Fistric
To date, the Edmonton Oilers Alumni have never won a single game against the
world renown Leghorn Foghorn Oldtimers. Nevertheless, they are bravely hoping
to break the unbreakable and achieve the unachievable.
Hockey commentators say this is going to be the don't-miss game of the season,
billed as edge-of-your-seat Hockey Night in Lac La Biche!
Cheer for the Oilers, cheer for the Foghorns -- either way, make a difference for our
community with proceeds going to the Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation.
And don't forget to like the Foundation on Facebook.
